| The fact that this relationship continues to endure leads one to gather that it is mutually beneficial and profitable to both of them. Z1 sells AMS (and it's sub brands) parts in the USA. AMS surely sells various Z1 branded parts in Canada. They both use off shore manufacturing to maximize profit and (arguably) sell parts at an attractive price point. Both companies have had quality/material problems with various products over the years. AMS's position of being a foreign company makes it harder to prosecute them for intellectual property issues arising from their *blatant* duplication of other US & international based vendors parts. Z1 gets to sell the AMS product line, but doesn't have to put their own brand in direct line of the "thats a copy fire". AMS gets access to a large US market through Z1 without having to complete w. US vendors directly (ie higher shipping charges, customs issues, longer delivery times, currency exchange etc. If it was not a successful relationship logic dictates that they wouldn't continue to be affiliated with each other. Both Z1 and AMS operate a for profit business, how do you expect them to reply to this? I don't think that boycotting events is the answer. Support the vendors who you think are worthy of your money. Promote them to your friends & peers.
